HIGH - ASPECT  LASER  MICRO  CUTTING

Precise high-aspect ratio laser micro cutting is a great strength of Avonisys waterjet laser technology. Cutting gaps of as narrow as 0.05mm can be cut with extraordinary aspect ratios of up 400:1. The Avonisys waterjet guided laser system delivers deep and smooth cutting surfaces, similar to what can be expected of wire-EDM technology, however in many cases a lot faster. Unlike EDM, Avonisys waterjet laser technology does not require any starting hole and both the cut-out part as well as the bulk material or “frame” can be used as good parts. MICRO HONEYCOMB CUTTING

Laser cutting of very thin walls can already be a challenge. In this video we up the game by cutting 0.25mm thin walls over a large depth of 18mm.


EDM ALIKE CUT BY LASER

Avonisys waterjet laser systems can cut with EDM alike precision and surface finish, but often in a fraction of the machining time. Both cut out and bulk parts are “good” parts.


CUTTING METAL FOAM

Non-bulk parts can be difficult for a conventional laser to cut. Our waterjet laser can perform precision cutting in a variety of metal foam materials.


CUTTING 18MM ALUMINUM

Aluminum is typically a difficult material to process with a laser. For Avonisys waterjet laser systems this is a very thankful material allowing deep clean cuts.


CUTTING 10MM SILICON

In this video we demonstrate freeform cutting of 10mm thick Silicon. The technology of course is also very well suited to cut much thinner Silicon material.


DEEP CUTTING WITH IR LASER

For years the paradigm was that IR lasers do not pair well with a waterjet process. We challenge this theory and show how we cut 24mm of metal with an IR fiber laser.


1MM SQUARE HOLE 18MM DEEP

Laser cutting a 1mm round hole of 18mm deep is a demanding job. To show the unique capability of our system we cut a 1x1mm square hole through 18mm aluminum.
